Selecting and deleting components in AutoCAD, such as arrows, letters, and lines.

AutoCAD is known for its ease of use and for giving the user a great deal of power, with a simple point-and-click interface and tooltips that guide the user throughout the software. In the case of a design created using AutoCAD, a user creates and modifies drawings by drawing lines, rectangles, circles, polygons, arc and spline curves, text, and so forth. A user can use the standard keyboard to draw lines, or can use one of several tools to draw polygons, arc or spline curves, circles, lines, and so on. An arc, also called an ellipse, is a two-dimensional shape that can be used to describe a circle with a single straight line, or the circumference of a circle that can be described by two straight lines. A spline curve, also called a Bezier curve, is a curve that can be described by a spline of straight line segments and control points. The spline curve is much more flexible than the spline that is created by pressing “F” on a standard text tool. It can be used to create a curve that is not necessarily a circle. For example, it can be used to draw a somewhat exaggerated heart or other shapes. Each drawing component is created by the user, and it is possible to have multiple components in a single drawing. An example of the components used to draw a line, a rectangle, and a circle are shown in the figure below. Each component has an individual name that is associated with it. As the name suggests, the line component can be used to draw a line, the rectangle component can be used to draw a rectangle, and the circle component can be used to draw a circle.

A drawing component, including the line, rectangle, and circle components shown above.

When the user starts drawing a line, it is possible to select a drawing component, such as a line component or a circle component, to be drawn with the line. The drawing component has the name of the drawing component and is shown in

User interface

The User Interface (UI) is the graphical interface that users interact with.

AutoCAD uses a variety of widgets to display information, and these can be organized into a number of regions on the UI. Regions contain individual widgets such as the title bar, toolbars, palettes, windows, etc. The „Region of the Drawing“ refers to the region of the document window or drawing space where the user is working on.

Standard User Interface (UI)
In the early years, the main AutoCAD user interface was a series of windows that could be reorganized by dragging them. The user interface developed from that as the number of windows grew, and the user was eventually allowed to move the windows in a three-dimensional way to position them around the current view. The main window was the „drawing space“. Other windows, such as the Palette, Main Document, Shelf, etc., could be moved into the drawing space to be hidden and shown at will. In the 2000s, a further refinement was made to the user interface, called ‚the Workbench‘ or ‚Palette Bar‘, in which the palette could be split into sub-windows that can be moved and re-positioned separately, leaving a large „drawing space“ for the user to create and edit drawings.

The UI now consists of:
Main Document window – The main drawing space where a user edits drawings.
Shelf window – All other windows can be dragged into this region to be revealed or hidden.
Tools panel – Toolbars that can be activated.
Palettes – The location of the palette in relation to the drawing space. Can be dragged onto the drawing space.

„The main window is a window containing the workspace where the drawing is created and edited.“

3D User Interface (3DUI)

Starting with AutoCAD 2010, the user interface can be enhanced by the introduction of three dimensional user interface. The three-dimensional capability allows pan, zoom, fly-through, and more intuitive interactions.

However, this did not mean that the traditional user interface is completely removed from the product. The traditional user interface continues to be available and is still the preferred interface for most users. The new user interface is primarily used by engineers, architects and surveyors, and by users who need to perform tasks in 3D.

The user interface includes:

Configure Struts in Eclipse

I just downloaded the Eclipse EE version and installed the Struts plugin. How do I configure my project to use the plugin? I cannot find it anywhere and I only want to use Struts 1.2 and not the new version.

If you already have struts 2 configured on your workspace and you just want to use Struts 1.2, you have two options:

Remove struts 2.x and replace it with 1.2. You’ll then use the Struts 1.2 Plugin to configure your application to use Struts 1.2.
Enable „Experimental Support for Struts 1.2“ ( plugin. In the available plugins list, there should be the Struts 1.2 Plugin and Struts 1.1 plugin, so select Struts 1.2, then Struts 1.1, then OK.

So I was looking at the other two answers and they both gave the answer of using Struts 1.2. However I’m interested in using struts 1.1 as it allows me to use the JAVA EE tooling provided by Eclipse and includes in itself a sample application.
Following the instructions above enabled me to select Struts 1.2 plugin but then I couldn’t find the application to configure. I found an old article about this here. However this was for the Struts 1.1 plugin.
In the end I found the solution here. I copied my struts 1.1 from my workspace to my struts 1.2 project.
Now if you check the plugin list in Eclipse you’ll see both. Now I have the Struts 1.1 plugin configured with the sample struts 1.1 app.

I had the same issue. Then I realized that I have to make a choice on the Struts 1.1 and Struts 2 projects. You can’t have both.
Struts 1.1 is deprecated.
Struts 2 is the new version.
So if you have a work enviroment that will use Struts 1.1 only, you should have all Struts 1.1

What’s New In AutoCAD?

Note: In this video, you can see Markup Assist function. During the video, I added a Markup object from a DXF file. There are more objects such as lines, arcs and text in DXF. I tested it with some DXF files and it works well. This feature will be improved in future.
