For instance, the macros below are used to extract the date, time and current logged-in user from the General section of the SharePoint ULS Log.

You can use the KeyMacro also for the Text Section, but note that it is not possible to extract the text only for one of the above sections. This is due to the fact that the KeyMacro string may return a blank value in case that no text is found within the section you are interested in.
To avoid such a situation, you need to have a larger KeyMacro string with a greater number of characters in order to extract any text within the section you are interested in. For instance, to extract the text between both sections (SPVer=“1.0“ and „:“) you need to use the following KeyMacro:
Get-ULASText „SPVer=1.0″|Replace-ItemProperty „SPLocale.Current.TimeZone“ -Value „GMT+3“
The KeyMacro can be created directly within ULA, by using the KeyMacro button on the left panel of the ULA Main window.

As SharePoint ULS Log Analyzer is a web application, you can use the web interface to manage its installation and configuration. The web interface uses ASP.NET AJAX technology and supports AJAX tasks that can be performed asynchronously.
